Prolife Director for her church, St. Joseph's Parish, (1991-2001), a Radio host with the Motivating Mom show on Covenant Network since 2009, and Ann has even conducted numerous television interviews on EWTN and SJEN, catholic television networks. Ann assisted Herculaneum High School sports programs for the last 20 years, taking on leadership roles as the Serve Safe Certificate holder for the Football and Baseball Programs. She has assisted the YMCA of Jefferson County in the Christmas House Tour 2009, and Birthright of Hillsboro as the Auction chairperson, and emcee. Ann developed the Tommy Surdyke Lifesaver award for Birthright of Hillsboro soon after the young WestPoint Cadet drowned saving the life of a stranger. Ann has always said YES to volunteering in a community she loves and deeply cares about.
Serving as President of the Serra Club of St. Louis, she recruited more people and turned an aging group of 107 members into the largest group of dynamic Serrans in the world, the club currently numbers 175 and works to foster and affirm vocations to the priesthood and religious life in the catholic faith. In 2016, Ann organized the St. Louis volunteers for The International Serran Convention at the Hyatt in Downtown St Louis. 10 Countries, over 400 attendees, 6 bishops, and 5 days of events, including a Cardinals baseball game, marked the first profitable convention in the past 25 years. Serving as the Serra International Development Director, and Foundation Board member, Ann developed her skills of working with others, even when language was a barrier to communication. Ann also served as the E. Walter Hausstette Foundation Secretary and Treasurer 2009-2019, and Vision of Peace Retreat Center in Pevely Board Member 2015-2018. Ann continues to serve the Country as a MO National Guard Childcare Provider one weekend a month.
Ann had 9 children, and 11 grandchildren, including one adopted grandchild. Ann was struck with tragedy in 2001 when her baby was stillborn, and again in 2019 when her oldest son drowned at 35. Ann has learned to hurdle the toughest of life's obstacles and come out stronger than ever before. She intends to do the best she can for the wonderful people of Jefferson County, one of the most beautiful places on earth!
You have Ann's commitment to fight for the 1st inalienable right-The Right to Life, a God given right that man cannot take away from anyone.
in 1973 when Abortion became legal in all 50 states during all 9 months of life, Ann was 5 years old, holding the hand of her father, campaigning in Ferguson, Doug Munsell was running for Councilman. Ann learned as a small child that women need love, and assistance, not abortion. Ann learned this lesson herself art 15, when she had a crisis of her own. That's when the reality of abortion became real, Ann knew why women went to abortion clinics, not out of selfishness, but out of fear, and most often coercion. Women that experience crisis pregnancy have an abundance of options and education today. We love our babies, born and unborn in a healthy community. Ann had David Anthony at the age of 16. She worked as a single mother and a prolife advocate since then, knowing only too well that abortion could have easily been a reality for her little boy if she had not been born to parents that were generous and understanding. Ann's son David drowned in 2019, at the age of 35, he left a beautiful wife, a son and another son on the way. Life is fragile and precious, and David taught Ann's entire family that through his wildly happy life.
Ann has been a Missouri Conservation Department approved hunter since 2014. She shot her first buck in 2019, on her own property. Ann has been a firm believer in our 2nd amendment rights and carries her own personal firearm. The idea that we should take away the guns of those that are legally carrying them seems rather absurd when you consider the lawlessness in our country today.
We have the right to bear arms. The second amendment is actually about avoiding a tyrannical government. We need only observe our friends in Australia, who have begged me to fight with everything I've got, to keep our right to bear arms.
You have Ann's commitment to fight for the proper use of your hard earned money. YOU are the taxpayer, government should be frugal and not wasteful. Conservative spending is what a mother of a large family does best!
Ann has been a friend to every educator she meets, our schools do MUST NOT teach Critical Race Theory.
